Spirit on the Square and Concerts

There was a Joey and Rory concert on the square tonight.  We like them and it was free so we went. Marley , country star, was ready. 

 Thrilled to be wearing her hat for me to get a picture with them in the background....

Sunscreen Experiment

Marley came in one day after watching Sid the Science Kid and told me we needed to rub sunscreen on paper.  Ok.......I googled it and today we did it. Notice the  right sides of the paper are somewhat brighter and more colorful because the sunscreen protected them.

Marley The Fly Catcher

Marley was in her room and I heard a bunch of commotion so I asked her what she was doing.  She said she was trying to catch a bug.  She had gotten a bug net at Target so the answer seemed reasonable.  I went about my business and a little bit later she came in the den with her net and sure enough there was a fly in it!  Apparently she wasn't pretending. She said, "I knew I could do it." HAHAHA.

Panic Time At Soccer Camp

So I thought how great it would be to make Coach Clay some  Reeces cup cookies as a way to thank him for being so great with the kids this week.(Cause I'm just such a great little homemaker...yeah right...)  As a major overthinker (or at least in Walter's eyes) I had already thought about what if he was allergic to peanuts.  However, I figured since he is twenty something he would just not eat them and dispose of them later.  Well, after camp they were all sitting around eating a popcicle and Marley gave them to him.  He says, "Am I supposed to pass these out."  I hollered, "No!"  Walter said, "He can if he wants to."  Well I heard some of the other parents asking about what they were handing out when they were handing out the popcicles and they were satisfied when it was a popcicle and not crackers.  That got me to thinking that McKenzie might be allergic to peanuts (which she is) so I panic and am hollering, "There's peanuts!  It's peanut butter!!!"  Coach Clay doesn't really get it but in the mean time the little girl that is allergic was taken to the side to eat her popcicle.  I didn't realize Clay would pass them out because they were supposed to be an end of the week present just for him and I also gave another man that helped with Marley some. (Because I'm such a wonderful soccer mom...:) ) Walter asked me what else would he do with them when they are sitting eating popcicles and someone else hands him a snack....Next time I'm waiting until the very end or I'm gonna have an EpiPen with me.
Now, all day long, Walter keeps hollering randomly, "Peanuts!!!!!"  He got a Payday candy bar at Walmart and he kept warning all the cars around him that he had peanuts.  He's so mean!
Moral of the story...when you think you are doing a nice gesture for someone, you might actually be about to kill someone else....

2nd Day of Soccer Camp

Most of these pictures are probably going to look the same but at least you get to see new ones everyday of her in her little cleats and socks (I can't get enough of it personally).  She's loving it and even won a couple of the games/drills today.
