Yesterday, while I was getting a contact fitting at the eye doctor in our Walmart, Marley and Walter strolled around the store and they went and got my medicine for me at the pharmacy. They had some brightly colored poster board in the buggy that we were going to get to make Yard Sale signs out of. The lady at the pharmacy saw the poster board and asked Marley if she liked to draw. I don't know what all was said in the small conversation they had but Marley ended up telling her that she would draw her a picture.
Well Walter and I meet up and he tells me about the encounter. I thought it was so cute. You would think that would be the end wouldn't you? Not with our little Marley.
On Tuesday mornings we have an adult Bible class. Today, Marley and I go over and I have her backpack full of things to keep her occupied. Throughout the class she put stickers on a sheet of paper and played with her animals or her baby (with the teeny tiny baby bed Mama Jeane and Daddy Ray gave her). When she got done putting stickers all over the paper she said, "I made this for the lady at Walmart." I couldn't believe it. I said, "why don't you draw something on there too." So she does.
I could not ignore that sweet gesture so we went back to Walmart today and I had Walter find the lady and Marley gave her the picture she made. We were walking away and Marley said, "She liked it."
That's my girl.
