Slipper Party 2012

So Marley comes in to the den Monday night and says she wants to have a "slipper party." I ask her about it and basically it's where you wear slippers and stay up all night.  Since Walter is off most of the day today we figured we could have one last night, so we did. It's a good thing because that was her first question yesterday morning, "When can I have my slipper party?"  We decided popcorn and cookies were a must, with Marley adding we could "dip the cookies in our own milk."  She wanted to watch HER cartoons and we needed decorations.  I went to the $ Tree and she got to pick out some. She also spent her $1 allowance to help with the decorations.  She kept saying things like, "This is the best slipper party ever" and "this is the best day ever!"  She was absolutely thrilled.  It was great. 

 She picked out a BIG party hat for "her Daddy."

 She decided what we should write on our sign.

 She got Anastasia at Walmart for the Slipper party.

 Slippers!

 The leis she has wanted every time we go in $ Tree and I have not let her get them. This time I thought they were worthy of being purchased for the Slipper Party.

 "Slipper Partaaaay!!!"

 Watched A Muppet Christmas Carol and then we broke out the glow sticks (bracelets).

This morning. :)  She kept commenting on how great it was and that I was the "best Mom."
